Each Miyu Nakashima Design piece is crafted using advanced 3D printing technology and carefully selected materials. Understanding these materials will help you care for your jewelry and ensure its longevity.

Nylon / Plastic

Created via Selective Laser Sintering (SLS) 3D printing, this material offers flexibility when thin and strength when thicker. The pieces are lightweight and comfortable for daily wear.

Care Instructions:

  • Avoid strong impacts due to potential damage
  • Expect color changes over time from regular use
  • Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight
  • Avoid exposure to extreme heat

Steel

Produced through binder jetting and bronze infusion (60% steel, 40% bronze), each piece has unique coloring ranging from silver-gray to bronze tones. Surface layer lines from the 3D printing process are typical and part of the design aesthetic.

Care Instructions:

  • Oxidation may occur with prolonged exposure to humidity, sweat, liquids, or lotions
  • Wipe dry with a soft cloth after each wear to maintain condition
  • Store in a dry environment
  • Avoid wearing during physical activities
  • Apply a light coat of jewelry sealant for extra protection

Sterling Silver

A high-quality 92.5% silver alloy commonly used in skin-safe jewelry applications, offering professional appearance and intricate detail showcase. Our sterling silver pieces are created using lost-wax casting from 3D printed masters.

Care Instructions:

  • Avoid wearing during swimming, bathing, exercise, or when applying perfumes/lotions
  • Will tarnish over time but polishes to like-new condition
  • Use soft polishing cloth or non-toxic jewelry cleaner regularly
  • Professional cleaning may be needed for heavily tarnished pieces

General Care Tips
